So im watching a gilmore girls rerun.  You know, everytime i watch gilmore girls, which happens to be one of my favorite shows, i cant help but to be disappointed  bc im always like oooo i wonder if rory will do blahhh blahh blahhh but then i remember oh wait, ive seen the show's finale!!!!!  and let me just tell you that hte show's finale wasnt so great, Rory does not marry Logan, but she does get a job.  Loralie (sp??) doesnt marry Luke, which leaves her life up in the air!! (let me just note that it is a good thing Christina does not have xanga, as she would be insulted that the only details about Rory and Loralie that i desire to know are those of whether or not they marry! LOLOLOL noor and lyd should get this.  i love Christina :)  Anyways, i wish they left us knowing a bit more about their lives!!!  yes yes, they are fictional characters, i am aware of this.

Nothing else is new.  I start school in a little more than a week.  ahh school.

it's been a long time....

On my way to school today, which always takes a long time bc of traffic, i was admiring the scenery of Detroit (i took Woodward), and listening to the repeat of Catholic answers from yesterday on Catholic radio (990 or 1090 AM for all who are interested).  Catholic answers is amazing, and the apologist on it was amazing as well--why? bc the Catholic faith is amazing! lol  Anywho, that is the update of my life.

Oh yes, im going on the young adult retreat in Stubenville (sp?) this weekend with some of the coolest 10 ladies everrssss.  im excited, it shall be fun and spiritual.  Thanks ECRC and Veronica and peeps for organizing it!

Pray for Iraq, it is bad for all--the Kurds are being run out of Mousel, the Palestinian refugees in Iraq are homeless (yet again!  these are people who truly know what it is like NOT to have a home!!!), and the Christians are being persecuted and driven out of their very OWN country!!!  This is all taking place within the clashes/fighting between the Sunni and Shi'i.   No Iraqi is safe.

Here are some links to some good things happening in the world:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/shared/spl/hi/picture_gallery/07/middle_east_christian_peacemakers0_hebron/html/1.stm (this is the true Christian spirit!  like Marla told me, "they shall know we are Christain by our love" AMEN)

http://www.bellathemovie.com/ (this movie is made by Catholic director and actor.  The main actor in the film was a huge Mexican star and singer, Eduardo Verastegui (who's very handsome if i may add) who experienced a conversion BACK into his Catholic faith, and since then has only taken roles that promote the dignity and value of human life.  awesome guy. here's a link with more info about the film- http://www.catholic.org/hf/faith/story.php?id=24088 )

Marla, thank you for having us at your house on Sunday for the CLC bbq---it was sooo much funN!!!! and yummy food too.  Praying the rosary by the bon-fire was really neat as well! Thank you Patrice too! what the heckers---thank you ALL CLC peoples!! youre all amazing.  God Bless youu mis amigos.

Finally, it occured to me that WYD is this summer (actually it has been occuring to me since WYD 2005), and im so darn excited!  I really really really hope i can goo---so hopefully it is in July, not August or else ill be in la escuela medica! NOOOOOOOOOOO that cannot happen.  it shall be my last visit to WYD, which is only the most amazing retreat ever. ever. ever.  The plan is (and this plan is not going to dissociate) for brigey and i to backpack through europe and then (hopefully) make a pit stop in the Mid East (Turkey, HOPEFULLYYY Jerusalem) and then head over for Austrailia for WYD.  I hope it will happen.  In the meantime, we shall be planning and saving $.

Last shout-out goes to my keyboard, which allows me to express my feelings.  ciao!

The Chaldean name is NOT inaccurate, as it is the name of those indigenous Mesopatamians who last ruled ancient Mesopatamia and we are truely the decendents of ancient Mesopatamia.  The Chaldeans are also the ones who made Aramaic the official language of their rule --Check out the link below:

http://kaldu.org/3_chaldean_culture/ContemporaryChaldeansAssyrians.html

Can anyone post any references that i could check out that explain more deeply the relationship of the Chaldean Church and the Assyrian Church?  Or just any books on the Chaldean Church and the Church of the East.  I would greatly appreciate it :) Thank you!

Thanks Fr. Andy :)

Hello xanga world, it's been a long time (not that anyone besides Lyd the Pyd cares lolol....Pydy, i wove you :).

Absolutely nothing is new in my life, except I learned that the reason the Rome labeled our Patriarch the Patriarch of Babylon bc the principle city of his see is Baghdad, and they thought that modern Baghdad was Babylon :) lol  http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/03559a.htm  we're still awesome ancient people (we belong to the Assyrians!). I dont have a problem with our inaccurate name, but I do wish more of us knew about this so that we will stop referring to the Assyrians as different people....but then again we refer to people of different villages as 'different' people!!! lololololollolol oh man oh man ;)  I cant leave out that we speak the coolest language on Earth as well.  One thing i do wonder, though, is why our people allowed themselves to be called something they are not?  Was it because they were more than ok with being 'separated ethnically' from the Church of the East, considering the circumstances surrounding the reasons why they entered into Communion with Rome?   I dunno these are just my thoughts....but please answer if you know:) thanks in advance

This monday we're setting up a CASA showcase in the student center!!! i hope it works out well, Lyd and i are doing the research as i type this very moment!! lolol ill post some pics of it (only if it is a nice showcase though!) ...hopefully it will be cute and pretty and daisy (hahaha i jokkee!)--more like historic, accurate and pretty (cant leave pretty out, looks matter to superficial people like me ;)  Thank you to all who are contributing pics, articles and support! go CASA! yayyyyyyyyyy ;)

poshu b'shlama! haha im just so excited about our cool vernacular language!!!! lOlOLOLOl or im just hyper
